FIA Homologation Papers

In March of 1970 Porsche filed Homologation paperwork with the FIA for the 914-6. This document verified that Porsche had produced five hundred 914-6s, qualifying them for the Grand-Tourisme (Grand Touring) class.
Spare Parts List,Type 914/6

 In late 1969 Porsche assembled a package of high performance parts that could be used on a 914-6 to enhance its racing prowess, the description (in four languages) and part numbers are all listed in the "Spare Parts List, Type 914/6, Competition Type" issued March of 1970.

 Many of the parts used on the GT were developed specifically for the 914 while other were race proven components that had been used on some of Porsche's great race cars such as the 904, 906, 908 and 911. Fewer than 50 GT packaged equipted cars were assembled by the Porsche factory however 400 GT kits were produced and made available for dealers and customers to turn their 914-6 into a GT racer.


Technical Driver's Manual

 The Technical Driver's Manual was issued in 1971, inside were descriptions of the different option packages. A schematic of the oil cooling system is included which illustrates the parts and position. A graph of gear ratios that are available for the 901 gearbox.
