| The Front Hood |

The steel front hood was replaced with a light weight fiberglass hood. Balsa wood reinforcement was laminated into the fiber- glass to strengthen it's thin construction. |

Use of the fiberglass hood required the removal of the hood opening spring. A .17" aluminium prop rod was installed on some GTs to hold the hood open. |
